Welcome to the Sentier Gaupillat hiking route! This circular trail offers a challenging yet rewarding adventure through the beautiful area of Lozère.

As you begin your journey, you will come across a parking area conveniently located right at the start of the trail. Around 2.45 kilometers into the hike, you'll find an information point, providing valuable insights into the surroundings.

Continuing on, at around 2.59 kilometers, you'll encounter the Agenouilloir des Clots, a historic wayside shrine that adds a cultural element to your hike. Further along, at 4.28 kilometers, you'll have the opportunity to explore the Abri-terrasse cave entrance, adding a touch of mystery to your adventure.

For those interested in nature and wildlife, Maison des Vautours (Vulture House) offers a unique experience at 150.37 meters off the trail. Additionally, various viewpoints such as Le Cinglegros and L'agenouilloir des Clots provide breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape at different points along the trail.

To refuel and relax, the Buvette de Cassagnes fast food spot is located at 1.8 kilometers from the start, providing a perfect pit stop to recharge before continuing your journey.

With a total distance of 9.684 kilometers and an elevation gain of 414 meters, this hike is classified as difficult.
