The hiking route to Alphubel is located in a stunning alpine area with breathtaking views. This extremely difficult 18.23-kilometer trail has an elevation gain of 2034 meters, making it a challenging but rewarding experience for seasoned hikers.
As you embark on this journey, you'll come across several points of interest along the way. About 4.52 kilometers from the start, you'll find a natural water source, followed by another one at 5.31 kilometers. A bit further at 4.83 kilometers, there is a water source conveniently located on the trail.
At 2.78 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Täschhütte alpine hut, providing a cozy spot to rest and refuel. The trail will also lead you to the impressive peak of Alphubel, standing tall at 9.12 kilometers from the start.
Along the route, you'll encounter the Alphubeljoch saddle at 7.18 kilometers, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, there are informational points scattered throughout the hike, providing insights into the area's flora, fauna, and geology.
To replenish your energy, a restaurant and lodge, the Täschalp Restaurant & Lodge, is located just 0.06 kilometers from the trail. A bit further at 5.25 kilometers, you'll find another peak worth exploring.
