The Alphubel hiking route is located in a breathtaking alpine area, offering stunning views and challenging terrain for experienced hikers. This out-and-back trail covers a distance of 18.23 kilometers with an elevation gain of 2034 meters, making it extremely difficult due to its length and steep ascents.

As you embark on this journey, you will encounter various points of interest along the way. Approximately 4.52 kilometers from the start, you will find a natural water source, followed by another one at the 5.31-kilometer mark. A little further along the trail at 4.83 kilometers, there is a water source conveniently located on the trail. For accommodation, the Täschhütte alpine hut is situated 2.78 kilometers from the starting point.

At the midway point of 9.12 kilometers, you will reach the majestic peak of Alphubel, providing a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. Near this peak, at 7.18 kilometers, you will come across Alphubeljoch, a natural saddle offering a unique vantage point.

It is advisable to start early and bring an ample water supply, as well as snacks and proper hiking gear. Check the weather forecast before setting out, as alpine conditions can change rapidly.

Along the trail, you may also encounter informative signage and facilities such as benches for resting. A restaurant and lodge, the Täschalp Restaurant & Lodge, can be found just 0.06 kilometers from the start, providing a convenient stop for refreshments.
