This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route covers a distance of 21.812 kilometers with an elevation gain of 473 meters, taking approximately 6 hours and 13 minutes to complete. The trail starts at a designated parking area, so be sure to check the forecast before heading out and bring plenty of water for the long journey ahead.

As you embark on your adventure, you will come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find Green Gulch Spring, a natural spring located 10.7 kilometers from the start, offering a refreshing stop for hikers. Further along the route, approximately 0.32 kilometers from the start, you will pass by Bushy Tank, a water source named after the area.

As you continue your trek, White Horse Tank will be located 5.58 kilometers into the hike, providing another opportunity to rest and refill your water supply. Midway through your journey, at 8.79 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Trail Tank, another essential water source for hikers. Finally, at 10.91 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Bushy Tank, the namesake destination of this challenging route.
