Welcome to the Coconetla hiking route! This moderate 5.25-kilometer out-and-back trail offers stunning views and a moderate challenge for hikers. Starting at the parking area at the trailhead, you'll begin your journey towards Coconetla peak.

As you make your way along the trail, you'll pass by a campsite located 0.6 kilometers from the start, perfect for those looking to spend the night in nature. Further along, at around 2.5 kilometers into the hike, you'll find a viewpoint offering panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape.

Continuing on, the trail will lead you to the highlight of the hike - the towering Cerro de Coconetla peak at 2.63 kilometers from the start. Take in the breathtaking scenery from this vantage point before retracing your steps back to the parking area.

With an elevation gain of 222 meters, be prepared for a moderate workout. Make sure to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before setting out on this adventure.
