This hiking route in the Erroiarri area is extremely difficult, covering a distance of 14.803 kilometers with an elevation gain of 802 meters. The circular route will take approximately 5 hours and 25 minutes to complete. Before embarking on this challenging hike, make sure to pack plenty of water and check the weather forecast.
As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the trail. About 4.79 kilometers into the hike, you will find a parking area. As you continue, at about 0.36 kilometers from the start, you will reach Aritxulegi Borda, a wilderness hut and shelter. Further along at 7.28 kilometers, there is a water source. Additionally, at 0.23 kilometers from the trail, you will find the Aritxulegi saddle.
As you make your way through the trail, you will encounter historical sites such as the Cromlechs Errenga 1-11 and the Txato Olabarri omenez monolitoa. Make sure to pause and appreciate these cultural landmarks. There are also facilities like drinking water at 0.36 kilometers from the start and a spring at 2.65 kilometers.
At 5.37 kilometers into the hike, you will find information about the area at a tourism site. The Errenga peak is located at 2.16 kilometers from the start, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, the Erroiarri waterfall can be seen at 7.28 kilometers. As you approach the end of the trail, you will pass by the PR-GI 1007 Artikutzako trenbide zaharra information point at 4.84 kilometers.
This hike also features archaeological sites like the Errengako lepoa tumulua, Cromlechs Arritxulangaña 1-10, and Cromlech Arritxulangaña Hegoalde 1-2. Take the time to explore and learn about the history of the area.
