The Chemin des Terres Noires hiking route is located in a beautiful area surrounded by nature. The trail is a moderate difficulty level and covers a distance of approximately 4.147 kilometers with an elevation gain of 277 meters.
As you start your hike, you will come across a few points of interest along the way. About 0.68 kilometers into the trail, you will find the Grotte Notre-Dame du Lac, a cave entrance located just off the trail. Further along, at the same distance, there is a bench where you can take a break and enjoy the views.
At around 1.42 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Le Taillefer (les terres noires). This is a great spot to take in the surroundings and learn more about the area. Continuing on, you will come across Mont Gerbet at 0.74 kilometers from the start, providing another interesting point to explore.
Throughout the hike, you will also encounter several viewpoints and informational spots, such as La Maladière and Crêt du Bourg, offering insights into the local attractions and natural beauty of the area.
It is recommended to bring an ample water supply, wear appropriate hiking gear, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
