This challenging hiking route will take you through the beautiful alpine landscape near Mali Grintovec. Starting at the parking area, you will begin your 7.793-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 1014 meters.
Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest, including the Dom na Kališču alpine hut located 2.1 kilometers from the start, where you can rest and enjoy a meal. Further on, at 3.04 kilometers from the start, you will find the Bašeljski vrh peak offering stunning panoramic views.
As you continue your hike, you will pass by the Bašeljsko brezno cave entrance at 0.39 kilometers from the start and Mačensko sedlo saddle at 3.38 kilometers. Don't miss the Gradišče nad Bašljem archaeological site and the Gradišče peak, both located at 0.21 kilometers from the trail.
For additional information along the trail, look out for the information points at 2.11 and 3.38 kilometers from the start. A bench is also available at 3.89 kilometers if you need a rest.
