Welcome to the hiking route to Mont Triboulet! This challenging and extremely difficult 16.5-kilometer trail features an elevation gain of 945 meters and will take approximately 6 hours and 11 minutes to complete.
Starting at the parking area near the trailhead, you'll begin your ascent towards Mont Triboulet. As you make your way up the trail, you'll come across various points of interest. About 8.27 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach the peak of Mont Triboulet, where you can take in breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Further along the trail, at around 6.7 kilometers from the start, you'll pass by Baisse de Barel, a saddle point offering a unique perspective of the landscape. Be sure to stop at the Trou des Corneilles viewpoint, located 2.25 kilometers from the start, for a stunning vantage point to rest and refuel.
Along the way, you'll also encounter informative signs and a historic wayside shrine, adding to the richness of your hiking experience. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and sturdy hiking shoes, as this route is demanding. Checking the weather forecast before heading out is also recommended.
