This extremely difficult 13.576 km circular hiking route will lead you to the stunning Monte Tof area. The trail is challenging with an elevation gain of 1277.0 meters and a duration of approximately 6 hours and 20 minutes. Before starting the hike, make sure to pack plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast for the day.
As you begin your journey, you will come across several historical points of interest such as the wayside shrines of Sant'Antonio, Madre con Bambino, Mater Gratie, and San Romedio. These shrines are located within the first 0.19 km of the trail and offer a glimpse into the religious history of the area.
Further along the trail at a distance of 5.48 km from the start, you will reach the Margole saddle, a natural formation that provides a picturesque resting spot for hikers. Continuing on, at around 6.46 km into the hike, you will encounter La Petta peak, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
As you proceed towards the latter part of the hike, you'll pass by the Monte Tof peak at 6.58 km from the start. This peak is a perfect spot to take in the breathtaking vistas of the Monte Tof area.
For sustenance options post-hike, Casa Ferrazza restaurant is located at 0.18 km from the trail, where you can refuel and relax after completing this challenging trek.
