This extremely difficult 13.576-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the breathtaking area of La Petta. The trail starts at Casa Ferrazza, where you can find a restaurant for some last-minute snacks before heading out. As you begin your journey, you will come across several historic wayside shrines such as Sant'Antonio, Madre con Bambino, and Mater Gratie, all within the first 0.2 kilometers of the trail.
As you continue on, you will encounter more points of interest, including the Redenzione shrine and the San Giovanni Battista e Gesù Bambino shrine, both located at around 0.7 kilometers from the start. Along the way, make sure to take a moment to appreciate the Cacciatore in orazione artwork and the Targa d'ingresso di casa Ganarin memorial.
At the midway point of the hike, you will reach Margole, a natural saddle, which is approximately 5.48 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Don't forget to stay hydrated by refilling your water bottle at the drinking water fountains located along the trail.
Further along the route, you will reach La Petta, a picturesque peak with unbeatable panoramic views. From here, you can see Monte Tof in the distance, another peak worth exploring. If you have the energy, you can also visit the nearby waterfall at a distance of 1.05 kilometers from the trail.
As you make your way back towards Casa Ferrazza, take a moment to relax on one of the benches scattered along the trail. Remember to check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging hike and pack plenty of water and snacks to keep you fueled throughout the journey.
