This challenging hike takes you through the picturesque area surrounding Herbertturm. The trail spans a distance of approximately 10.4 kilometers with an elevation gain of 552 meters, making it a difficult yet rewarding trek that will take about 3 hours and 47 minutes to complete.

As you start your journey, you will pass by the breathtaking Hochtor saddle, situated just 20 meters from the trailhead. Further along the path, you will encounter the Hinteres Modereck peak at around 4.16 kilometers into the hike. Make sure to take in the stunning views from the Tauernkopf peak, located 0.57 kilometers from the start.

At the halfway point, you will reach the Weißenbachscharte saddle, offering a brief respite before continuing towards the Roßschartenkogel peak, which is a slight detour from the main trail at 1.82 kilometers.
