This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Refuge Tomy and Creu de Sailfort. With a total distance of 7.4 kilometers and an elevation gain of 623 meters, this route is rated as difficult and is perfect for experienced hikers looking for a challenge.
Starting at the parking area, you will embark on an out-and-back journey that will lead you to various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the hike, you will come across the tranquil Refugi del Coll de Banyuls, a wilderness hut where you can take a break and enjoy the scenic views.
As you continue on the trail, you will pass by the majestic Pic de Sallfort, a peak that offers panoramic views of the surrounding area. Further along the route, you will reach Coll de Banyuls, a saddle where you can take in the beauty of the natural surroundings.
Midway through the hike, you will have the opportunity to visit Refuge Tomy, another shelter where you can rest and refuel before continuing on your journey. Be sure to visit Source François Grand, a natural spring, located a short distance from the main trail.
