This challenging hiking route takes you to the Otto-Kandler-Haus in a beautiful alpine setting. The 11.158-kilometer trail features a total elevation gain of 735 meters and will take approximately 4 hours and 25 minutes to complete.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by several points of interest along the way. About 5.58 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the Hohenstein viewpoint, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. Further along the trail, at about 5.58 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Otto-Kandler-Haus alpine hut, where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments.

Along the trail, you will also encounter a wayside cross and peak known as Hohenstein, adding to the scenic beauty of the hike. Be sure to check out the information points, benches, and wayside shrines that provide interesting insights into the area's history and natural features.

For a great halfway point, stop by the Engleitensattel saddle at around 4.37 kilometers into the hike, offering a perfect spot to rest and take in the surrounding landscapes.

As this is a difficult hike with significant elevation gain, make sure to come prepared with plenty of water, sturdy hiking shoes, and snacks.
