This challenging hiking route will take you to the Türnitzer Hütte in a beautiful alpine setting. The trail covers a distance of approximately 7.8 kilometers with an elevation gain of 816 meters, making it a difficult hike suitable for experienced hikers.
Starting at the parking area located at the trailhead, you will begin your journey towards the Türnitzer Hütte. Along the way, you will encounter points of interest such as the Kuhlacke, an information point about the area, and the Goldloch cave entrance (located off the trail). As you continue on, you will also pass by the Türnitzer Höger peak before reaching the Türnitzer Hütte, which is around 3.92 kilometers from the start.
The Türnitzer Hütte is an alpine hut where you can rest and refuel before heading back on the same trail. On your way back, you can explore the Kammkluft cave entrance, located about 3.38 kilometers from the start.
