Welcome to the Route des Cascades hiking trail! This route offers a leisurely and scenic walk through the beautiful natural surroundings of the area.
As you embark on your hike, you will come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Abri sous roche de la Balme de Thuy, a cave entrance with archaeological significance located just a short distance from the trail. Further along, at around 0.42 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter the picturesque Cascade de Morette, a stunning waterfall that adds to the beauty of the landscape.
Midway through your journey, at approximately 0.39 kilometers from the start, you will find the Grotte Notre-Dame de Lourdes, a wayside shrine that holds historical significance. As you continue on, you will also come across the Belvédère de l'Arpettaz, a viewpoint that offers panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Along the way, be sure to keep an eye out for the Scierie, an information point located approximately 0.39 kilometers from the start, as well as the picnic site at 0.03 kilometers, where you can take a break and enjoy a meal surrounded by nature.
With a total distance of 0.837 kilometers and an elevation gain of 36 meters, this hike is rated as super easy, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.
