This extremely difficult 12.4-kilometer circular hiking route around Cima Nera will take you through a breathtaking alpine landscape with an elevation gain of 1023 meters. The trail starts at a convenient parking area and leads you to various points of interest along the way.
At the beginning of the hike, you will pass by Malga Mare, a rustic alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some local cuisine. The trail continues towards Lago delle Marmotte, a serene mountain lake located approximately 4.89 kilometers from the start. You can also visit Vasca Malga Mare, a small reservoir, located right at the beginning of the trail.
Midway through the hike, you will reach Rifugio Guido Larcher al Cevedale, an alpine hut offering accommodation and refreshments. As you continue your journey, you will encounter Der Gletscher, a glacier where you can learn more about the area's natural wonders.
Along the way, you will also find several information points and viewpoints where you can take in the stunning scenery. Make sure to stop by Bar ristorante for a quick snack and refreshments.
