This hiking route takes you to the breathtaking area of Cima Sud Argentera. Known for its stunning peaks and natural beauty, this area offers a challenging but rewarding hike. The route is an out-and-back trail with a total distance of 10.376 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1399 meters, making it extremely difficult.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Rifugio Franco Remondino alpine hut, located 3.06 kilometers from the trailhead. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the surrounding scenery. Further along the trail at 4.65 kilometers, you will reach the Passo dei Detriti saddle, adding a unique touch to your hike.
Midway through the hike, at 3.06 kilometers, you will find a refreshing spring to replenish your water supply. It is important to stay hydrated, especially on such a challenging trail. Along the way, you will also encounter informative points of interest such as the Cima Genova peak and various information signs.
At the end of the trail, 5.19 kilometers from the start, you will reach the highlight of the hike, Cima Sud Argentera peak. From this vantage point, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding area, making all the effort worth it.
