Welcome to the hiking route to Fulen Peak, a challenging and extremely difficult 11.6-kilometer out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 1212 meters.
Starting at the parking area (at the beginning of the trail), hikers will make their way towards Rossstock Peak, located 4.96 kilometers from the start. Although not directly on the trail, the peak offers stunning views and is worth a detour for experienced climbers.
Continuing on, at around 2.3 kilometers from the start, you will come across Lidernenhütte SAC, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy a rest stop.
Further along the trail, at 3.17 kilometers from the start, you'll find a water source to refill your bottles. This can be a crucial stop as you ascend towards Fulen Peak, which is the final destination of the hike at 5.8 kilometers from the start.
On the way back, you'll pass by Chäppeliberg LSB and Chäppeliberg information points at 0.03 and 0.18 kilometers from the start respectively. These spots provide interesting insights into the local area and wildlife.
Keep an eye out for rock formations at 2.3 kilometers and 5.12 kilometers from the start, adding to the rugged beauty of the trail.
As this is an extremely difficult hike with significant elevation gain, hikers are advised to come prepared with proper gear, sufficient water, and snacks. It is essential to check the weather forecast before attempting this challenging route.
