This hiking route takes you through the scenic area around Duke of Gordons Monument. The trail is 7.789 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 106 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area at the beginning of the trail. About 0.26 kilometers into the hike, you will find SuDS, a water feature that adds to the natural beauty of the surroundings.
Midway through the trail, at approximately 1.58 kilometers, you will pass by an information point about the Speyside Way, offering insights into the local area. Continuing on, at around 1.65 kilometers, you will come across another information point along the trail.
As you approach the endpoint of the hike, at a distance of 3.3 kilometers, you will encounter the Waterloo Cairn, a historic memorial along the way. Finally, at around 3.89 kilometers, you will reach both the Duke of Gordons Monument and Torr Alvie, providing picturesque viewpoints and a sense of accomplishment.
