This hiking route takes you through the picturesque area of Tillfussalm, located in the heart of the Austrian Alps. The trail is a circular route, starting at an elevation of 1240 meters and reaching a peak of 1384 meters at Tillfussalm.
Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. Just 4 kilometers into your hike, you will come across the Tillfussalm alpine hut, where you can take a break, enjoy a meal, and take in the stunning mountain views. Further along the trail, at a distance of 3 kilometers, you will find the Gaistalalm alpine hut, another great spot to rest and refuel.
As you continue on the route, you will pass by various amenities such as benches for taking a rest, information points to learn more about the area, and even a wayside cross with historical significance. Be sure to stop by the Steinpyramide monument, located 3 kilometers from the start, for a unique sightseeing opportunity.
This hike covers a distance of 9.6 kilometers and includes an elevation gain of 139 meters.
