This hiking route will take you to Mont Valaisan, offering breathtaking views and interesting points of interest along the way. The trail is approximately 10.9 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 717 meters, making it a challenging but rewarding hike.
Starting at the parking space at the trailhead, you will soon come across a water feature just 0.11 kilometers from the start, providing a serene atmosphere at the beginning of your journey. Further along the trail at 0.92 kilometers, you will pass by another water source, adding to the natural beauty of the surroundings.
As you continue your ascent, you will encounter the Redoute Ruinée castle ruins at 2.34 kilometers from the start, offering a glimpse into the area's historic past. Around the same location, you will find the Fort Redoute Ruinée, further adding to the historical significance of the hike.
Reaching the midway point of the trail at 5.45 kilometers, you will arrive at Mont Valaisan, a peak where you can take in panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. This is a perfect spot to rest and refuel before heading back.
