Welcome to the Metzenleitenweg hiking trail! This easy 2.396-kilometer circular route offers beautiful views and a relaxing outdoor experience in the Berchtesgaden area.

During your hike, you will come across several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area for your convenience. As you continue, you will reach the Kneifelspitze peak, located 1.17 kilometers from the start, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Around the 1.17-kilometer mark, you will also find Paulshütte, a restaurant where you can take a break and refuel before continuing your journey. Additionally, there are several benches along the trail where you can rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

As you make your way back, you will encounter viewpoints such as Salzburgblick, offering stunning vistas of the landscape. Information points and more benches are dispersed along the trail, providing opportunities to learn more about the area and take breaks as needed.

This hike is relatively easy with a total elevation gain of 233 meters, making it suitable for hikers of all levels. Remember to bring plenty of water, wear appropriate footwear, and check the weather forecast before embarking on your adventure.
