This extremely difficult 14.808-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the breathtaking natural beauty of Cola de Caballo. The trail starts at La Plataforma, a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on your journey. As you begin your hike, you'll come across the Morezón peak, located 4.75 kilometers from the start, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Along the way, you'll also encounter various water sources for replenishing your supplies, with the closest one just 6.28 kilometers from the start. Midway through the hike, at approximately 6.5 kilometers in, you'll find a shelter called Viva ensuring you have a place to rest and recharge.
The route also features several other peaks, including Risco del Faccioso and Cerro de la Cagarruta, each offering its own unique vantage point of the landscape. With a total elevation gain of 909 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart. Be sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear.
