This extremely difficult 14.7 km circular hiking route will lead you to the majestic Hohe Wasserfalle area. The trail starts at a parking area and quickly brings you to the Gruesee water body 4.49 km into the hike. As you continue, you will reach the Hohe Wasserfalle peak at 6.91 km. Along the way, you will find information points and picnic sites, perfect for taking a break and enjoying the surroundings.
On the way back, you'll come across Gruejoch saddle at 4.67 km and a historic wayside cross at 0.06 km. There are also benches, information points, and water sources scattered throughout the trail to provide convenience for hikers.
With an elevation gain of 1852 meters, this hike is challenging and requires a good level of fitness. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear. Check the weather forecast before heading out, as conditions can change quickly in this mountainous area.
