This extremely difficult hiking route will take you to the Blockkogel peak, covering a distance of 16.23 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1902 meters. The total duration of the hike is approximately 8 hours and 30 minutes.

The trail starts at a parking area where you can leave your vehicle (fee required) and begins with a gradual ascent. Along the way, you will come across several points of interest. At around 2.15 kilometers from the start, you will find a drinking water source, perfect for refilling your water bottle. Further ahead, at 3.48 kilometers, you can take a break at the Hintere Fundusalm, a restaurant/alpine hut where you can enjoy a meal or snack.

As you continue on the trail, you will pass by the Fundussee lake at 3.89 kilometers, offering a scenic spot to rest and take in the views. At 5.31 kilometers, the Frischmannhütte alpine hut provides another opportunity to rest and recharge before continuing your journey.

Around the midway point of the hike, at 8.12 kilometers, you will reach the Blockkogel peak, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area. Take some time to appreciate the beauty of the landscape before beginning your descent.

On the way back, you can stop by the Wasserbecken water feature at the start of the trail, located at approximately 0.2 kilometers from the end. It's important to note that there are information points scattered along the route, providing relevant details about the area and trail.
