This hiking route takes you through the stunning scenery of the Flauringer Alm area. The trail is 10.254 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 673 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike. It is recommended to bring plenty of water and snacks, and to check the weather forecast before heading out.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Oberhofer Galtalm alpine hut at the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to rest and enjoy the views before continuing on. Further along the route, at around 3.89 kilometers from the start, you will find an information point with interesting facts about the area.
Around the 5.13-kilometer mark, you will reach the Flauringer Alm restaurant, offering a chance to refuel with a meal or drink. This is a perfect spot to take a break and admire the surroundings before heading back.
Along the way, you will also come across a wayside cross at 3.88 kilometers, adding a touch of history to your hike. Additionally, there are benches scattered throughout the trail where you can take a moment to rest and take in the beauty of the landscape.
At the end of the trail, you will find yourself back at the starting point, where there is parking available for your convenience. Overall, this out-and-back route offers a challenging yet fulfilling hiking experience in the Flauringer Alm area.
