Welcome to the Sendero Cerro El Carbón hiking route! This hiking trail offers a super easy trek through the beautiful natural surroundings of the area.
As you start your journey, you will come across Casa Patagua, a charming information spot right at the beginning of the trail. You can also find Fauna Altiplánica zoo nearby, offering a unique experience with high-altitude animals.
Further along the route, at about 0.64 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a lovely picnic site nestled in nature. If you continue onwards, at 0.27 kilometers, you will find a peaceful water spot perfect for a refreshing break.
Throughout the hike, there are several points of interest to explore. For example, you can visit Hare Paenga (Casa Bote) at 0.13 kilometers, which is an interesting artwork worth checking out. Additionally, make sure to stop by Bosque Palma Chilena viewpoint at 0.28 kilometers for a stunning view of the surrounding landscape.
As you reach the midway point of the trail, around 0.38 kilometers, you will find Casa Dalcahue - another notable artwork to admire along the way. Continuing further, at 0.44 kilometers, Casa Totora El Tangue offers a unique cultural experience for hikers.
Before embarking on this adventure, remember to bring an ample water supply and check the weather forecast. With a total distance of 1.289 kilometers and an elevation gain of 72 meters, this hike is perfect for all skill levels.
