This challenging hiking route will take you to the beautiful area around Monte Pegherolo. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 10.246 kilometers and an elevation gain of 709 meters, so be prepared for a strenuous journey that will take approximately 4 hours and 8 minutes to complete.

As you start your hike, you'll find parking facilities conveniently located at the trailhead. About 570 meters into the hike, you'll pass by the stunning Lago Arale, which is a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Further along the trail, at the 1.79-kilometer mark, you'll come across a refreshing water source. Make sure to refill your water bottles here as the next significant point of interest, Ristorante Scoiattolo, is located 60 meters past the 1.85-kilometer mark.

Continuing on, at the 2.21-kilometer mark, you'll reach Passo San Simone, a picturesque saddle offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. As you trek further, you'll encounter Bar S.Simone, a cozy bar where you can rest and recharge.

The highlight of the hike is reaching the peaks of Monte Pegherolo and Pizzo Cavallino at the 5.12-kilometer and 5.81-kilometer marks, respectively. From these vantage points, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking vistas of the area.
