This extremely difficult 13.454-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the breathtaking and challenging terrain of the Pizzo Camilla area.
Starting at the "Inizio sentiero delle Orobie Centro Orientali" trailhead, you will embark on a journey that offers stunning views and encounters with various points of interest along the way. Be sure to check the forecast before going, as weather conditions can change rapidly in this alpine region.
Around 2.57 kilometers from the start, you will find the "Rifugio Alpe Corte" alpine hut, a perfect spot to take a break and refuel. This accommodation offers a website for more information and can be a great place to rest if needed.
As you continue on the trail, you will come across several information points, such as the "Sentiero delle Orobie," providing insights into the surrounding nature and landscape. Around the midway point, at approximately 5.91 kilometers from the start, you will reach the "Passo dei Laghi Gemelli" saddle. This is a great place to admire the panoramic views and catch your breath before continuing on.
At 6.39 kilometers from the start, you will reach the "Pizzo Camilla" peak, a rewarding summit that offers stunning views of the surrounding area. Don't forget to pack enough water and snacks for this challenging hike, as the elevation gain of 1132 meters will test your endurance.
