Hiking : Pas de la Charmatte

This challenging hiking route takes you to Pas de la Charmatte, offering stunning views and interesting points of interest along the way. The trail starts at a parking area near the beginning of the route. As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Monument aux Morts, a historic memorial located close to the trail.

As you continue on, you will come across the Pas des Voûtes viewpoint, which offers a breathtaking overlook of the surrounding area. This viewpoint is situated at around 2.8 kilometers into the hike. Further along the trail, you will encounter the Grotte de Pabro, a cave entrance that is worth exploring.

Midway through the hike, you will reach a spring where you can refill your water supply. It is advisable to bring an adequate amount of water with you, as the trail is quite challenging and the elevation gain is significant.

Towards the end of the route, you will find the Pas des Voûtes ruins and another viewpoint that provides panoramic views of the landscapes. At the end of the trail, you will arrive at Pas de la Charmatte, the destination of this out-and-back hike.

With a total distance of 5.866 kilometers and an elevation gain of 552 meters, this hike is labeled as difficult.
