This hiking route takes you to the beautiful area of Otsogorrigaina, offering a challenging but rewarding experience. The trail is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of approximately 9.7 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1151 meters, making it quite difficult.
As you start your hike, you will come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail, allowing for convenient access. About 0.5 kilometers into the hike, you will find an information point providing insights into the surrounding area.
Continuing on, at around 1.75 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Cayolar de Pista Pékoa wilderness hut, which offers a cozy resting spot to take in the views. Further along the trail, at 1.9 kilometers, you will encounter the Cascade de Pista waterfall, adding a touch of serenity to your journey.
As you progress, at 2.4 kilometers, you will come across an archaeological site, adding a touch of history to your adventure. At 2.7 kilometers, a drinking water station will provide a much-needed refreshment point.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 4.3 kilometers, you will reach the Üthürurdineta portilloa saddle, offering panoramic views of the surroundings. At the same distance, you will also find boundary stones marking the historic Mugarrien 246. and 247. zenbakia.
Towards the end of the trail, at 4.8 kilometers, you will encounter the Otsogorri peak, a notable landmark in the area. Finally, at 4.83 kilometers, you will reach the Otsogorrigaina peak, the highlight of the hike, offering stunning views as a rewarding conclusion to your journey.
