Starting at the parking area just 0.02 km from the trailhead, you will soon come across Pfaffenhofer Alm, an alpine hut located 6.12 km from the start. This is a great spot to take a break and refuel before continuing on your journey.

As you make your way towards Schafmarebenkogel, you will pass by Sonnkarköpfl peak at the 8.07 km mark. While it's not directly on the trail, the detour to this peak is worth the extra effort for panoramic views of the surrounding area.

The final destination, Schafmarebenkogel peak, sits at 9.32 km from the start and marks the turnaround point for this out-and-back route. Be sure to take in the breathtaking views before beginning your descent back to the starting point.
