This challenging hiking route takes you on a 9.1-kilometer circular journey through a picturesque area filled with natural beauty and wildlife. The trail starts at a parking area about 4 kilometers from the beginning of the route.
As you embark on your adventure, you will encounter various points of interest along the way. About 4.5 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a spot known for observing Wasservögel (water birds), located just 32 meters from the trail. Further along, at the 4.1-kilometer mark, there is a fast-food spot conveniently situated just 11 meters from the trail.
Midway through the hike, around the 4.2-kilometer mark, you will find interesting informational points such as "Die Letzten ihrer Art," "Entzauberte Manege," and "Großkatzen Auffangsstation." These provide insights into the area's history and wildlife conservation efforts.
At around 4.6 kilometers, you will reach a water feature that is 135 meters off the trail, offering a serene setting to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Additionally, at the 4.56-kilometer mark, you will have the opportunity to explore the Wildpark Johannismühle, a zoo with diverse wildlife and operating hours from November to February, creating a unique experience for visitors.
The trail also includes multiple facilities such as benches, shelters, and information points for hikers to rest and learn more about the surroundings.
