Located in a picturesque area, this challenging hiking route will take you on an out-and-back journey to the Refuge du Balaïtous-Ledormeur. With a total distance of 8.461 kilometers and an elevation gain of 430 meters, this trail is not for the faint of heart.

Starting at the parking area, you will make your way past the Parc National and the beautiful Lac de Suyen, which is located just 0.85 kilometers from the start of the trail. As you continue on, you will come across the Toue de Labassa shelter at the 3.4 kilometer mark, offering a rest stop for weary hikers.

Midway through your hike at the 4.23 kilometer point, you will reach the Refuge du Balaïtous-Ledormeur. This alpine hut provides a perfect place to rest and refuel before your journey back.

Along the way, you will also encounter various water sources, including one at the 3.02 kilometer mark, ensuring you stay hydrated throughout your trek. Information points can be found at 1.23 and 0.02 kilometers from the start, offering insights into the surrounding area.
