The hiking route at Naturschutzgebiet Altrhein Neuburgweier - Bellenkopf-Schließe is a super easy out-and-back trail spanning a distance of 1.907 kilometers with no elevation gain. The area offers a serene natural setting for hikers to enjoy.
Along the trail, hikers will come across several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Altrhein, a picturesque water body just 0.61 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail at 0.49 kilometers from the beginning, there is the Rheinrast restaurant where hikers can take a break and enjoy some refreshments. Additionally, at 0.95 kilometers from the start, there is another water feature to admire.
For convenience, there are parking facilities available at Salmengrund located right at the trailhead. Hikers will also find benches along the trail at various points for resting or enjoying the surroundings. An information point is situated 0.49 kilometers from the start, providing insights into the local area.
