This hiking route will take you to the beautiful area of Pointe des Arbennes. The trail is 11.94 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 1455 meters, making it extremely difficult. It will take approximately 6 hours and 24 minutes to complete the out-and-back route.
As you start your hike, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Parking de Burzier, where you can safely leave your vehicle. Further along the trail, about 3.14 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Refuge de Doran, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the scenic views.
Midway through the hike, at around 5.45 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Tête de la Forclaz peak and the Pointe des Arbennes peak at 5.97 kilometers. These peaks offer breathtaking views of the surrounding area and are perfect spots for a rest.
Although some points of interest such as La Cascade de Doran and the Tours d'Areu are not directly on the trail, they are worth a visit if you have the time and energy to explore them.
