Welcome to the hiking route to Sonnenspitze Alternativgipfel! This extremely difficult 12.764-kilometer trail with an elevation gain of 1039.0 meters will take you approximately 5 hours and 33 minutes to complete.

The trail starts in a beautiful area with parking available nearby. As you begin your hike, you'll pass by Peeralm, a restaurant and alpine hut, where you can grab a bite to eat or take a rest. Further along the trail, you'll come across a saddle known as Naviser Jöchl, offering stunning views of the surrounding natural landscapes.

Make sure to stay hydrated as you hike, especially when passing by a water source approximately 3.11 kilometers from the start. As you continue on, you'll encounter a via ferrata at the 6.38-kilometer mark, adding a thrilling element to your journey.

For history enthusiasts, keep an eye out for a wayside cross and a wayside shrine along the trail. Additionally, there are several benches and information points scattered throughout, providing opportunities to take a break and learn more about the area.
