This hiking route takes you through the picturesque Zirbenweg area, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. The trail is approximately 9.9 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 1007 meters, making it a difficult and challenging hike that is recommended for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Waldcafé Sistrans, a wheelchair-accessible restaurant located right at the beginning of the trail. This is a perfect spot to fuel up before venturing further into the hike. Along the way, you will also find the Fußballkantine, another restaurant to grab a bite to eat.
The Lanser Alm, located midway through the hike, offers a great resting spot with the option of accommodation if you wish to extend your hike over multiple days. As you continue on, you will encounter various benches and viewpoints where you can take in the breathtaking scenery.
Throughout the trail, there are drinking water stations to keep you hydrated, such as the spring at a distance of 4.75 kilometers from the start. Additionally, make sure to visit the Patscherkofel Schutzhaus where you can refuel and rest before heading back.
