This hiking route to Peña Mea is located in a beautiful area with stunning views. The trail is 14.24 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 1050 meters, making it extremely difficult and suitable for experienced hikers. As you start your journey, you'll come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail. About 1.25 kilometers into the hike, you'll find two separate water sources, perfect for refilling your water bottles. If you need another refill later on, there is a drinking water spot about 1.88 kilometers from the start.
Halfway through the hike, at a distance of 7.12 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the majestic peak known as Peña Mea. Take your time to soak in the panoramic views from the top. As you continue on, you'll encounter a cave entrance called Covayos del Picón de PedroMoro, an interesting point worth exploring.
Along the trail, you'll also find several springs and saddles, providing both natural beauty and potentially useful rest stops. Additionally, keep an eye out for various attractions and benches scattered throughout the route. If you need a meal break, Mesón La Panoya restaurant is conveniently located only 0.05 kilometers from the start.
