This hiking route takes you through the picturesque area around Soum de Segú. The 9.783-kilometer trail offers a challenging trek with an elevation gain of 426 meters, making it suitable for experienced hikers.
Starting at the parking area at the beginning of the trail, you will pass by the Col d'Urdach, a beautiful saddle located 3.25 kilometers from the start. As you continue onwards, you will come across the Ancienne Cabane d'Hourataté shelter, situated 1.31 kilometers into the hike, providing a nice resting spot along the way.
Further along the trail at 4.89 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Soum de Segú, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. On your way back, you can take a break at the fountain and benches located at the midway point of the trail.
It is advisable to bring plenty of water, wear proper hiking gear, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging journey. The trail is an out-and-back route, so you will retrace your steps to return to the starting point.
