This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route takes you from Passo Silara to Roccaferrara, offering a challenging but rewarding experience in the beautiful natural surroundings of the area.
Starting from the parking area at the trailhead, hikers will embark on a 13.562-kilometer journey with a total elevation gain of 572 meters. It is important to be well-prepared for this hike, as it will take approximately 4 hours and 34 minutes to complete.
Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Croce dei Quattro Ragazzi wayside cross, a historic landmark that marks the start of your adventure. As you continue on, you will pass by informative signage such as Maestà di Graiana nord, Maestà di Graiana ovest, and Maestà di Graiana est, providing insights into the area's history and natural features.
Halfway through the hike, you will reach Monte Barcone and Monte Polo, two majestic peaks offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Be sure to take a moment to appreciate the stunning scenery before continuing on your journey.
