Hiking : Route du Cormet

The Route du Cormet is a moderate 6.41-kilometer out-and-back hiking trail that offers stunning views and a few points of interest along the way. Starting at the parking area, hikers will embark on a journey that includes an elevation gain of 206 meters.

As you begin your hike, you will pass by the L'Etoille des Neiges restaurant, located just 0.01 kilometers from the trail. Further along, at the 3.21-kilometer mark, you will encounter a natural water source perfect for refilling your water bottles.

Around the midway point of the trail, at 2.38 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Col des Frêtes saddle, offering a picturesque spot to take a break and enjoy the panoramic views. Continuing on, at 0.43 kilometers from the start, you will find a viewpoint at the Chapelle, providing stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape.

Before you head back, make sure to stop by the Bar-Restaurant des Lanches, located 0.54 kilometers from the start, for a well-deserved meal or refreshment.

Although the trail is rated as moderate, it is always advisable to come prepared with plenty of water, snacks, and appropriate hiking gear. Check the weather forecast before setting out, and make sure to take breaks as needed to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the Route du Cormet.
