This challenging hiking route, known as Chemin de la Limace, takes you on a scenic 8.912-kilometer circular journey with an elevation gain of 541.0 meters. The route will take approximately 3 hours and 24 minutes to complete.
You will start your hike at the parking area, located right at the trailhead. As you begin your trek, just 0.05 kilometers from the start, you will come across the peaceful Lac du Plan Dessert, a picturesque water feature where you can take a moment to enjoy the serene surroundings.
Further along the trail, at 3.39 kilometers from the start, you will reach Col de la Limace, a breathtaking saddle where you can take in stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. As you continue onwards, at 4.29 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a free flying site for paragliding enthusiasts who want to take off and soar through the skies.
Midway through the hike, at 4.42 kilometers from the start, you will find the Ban Rouge peak, offering a challenging yet rewarding ascent for those seeking a bit of adventure. Nearby, you can also visit a viewpoint with stunning vistas of the area.
For a well-deserved break, 0.05 kilometers from the start, there is a lovely picnic site where you can relax and refuel before continuing on your journey. Towards the latter part of the hike, at 4.22 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Col de Basse-combe, another beautiful saddle along the trail.
