This hiking route is an extremely difficult 15.5-kilometer out-and-back trail that will take approximately 5 hours and 42 minutes to complete, with an elevation gain of 849 meters. The trail is located in a picturesque area surrounded by natural beauty.
As you begin your journey, you will pass by some notable points of interest. About 1 kilometer into the hike, you will find a refreshing spring at Sorgente di Carpinetto where you can take a break and refill your water bottle. Further along the trail, at 4.95 kilometers from the start, there is a parking area for those driving to the trailhead. Another parking area is located at the beginning of the trail, making it convenient for hikers to park their vehicles.
Midway through the hike, at 6.48 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Rifugio SAIFAR, an alpine hut where you can rest and enjoy a meal while taking in the stunning views. As you continue on, at 7.22 kilometers from the start, there is a BBQ area where you can stop for a picnic and soak in the surrounding nature.
Finally, your destination, Casino di Troili, is located at 7.75 kilometers from the start. This alpine hut offers a cozy retreat for hikers to relax and unwind before making the return journey.
