This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Obereggen Latemar. The trail is 7.39 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 574 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take around 3 hours and 8 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Obereggen Latemar Skicenter, a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before hitting the trail. A short distance away, at only 0.13 kilometers from the start, you will find the Gasthof Specker restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before continuing on.
Around 2 kilometers into the hike, you will find a drinking water station to refill your water bottle, ensuring you stay hydrated throughout the trek. Further along, at 3.5 kilometers from the start, the Oberholz Hütte restaurant offers another opportunity to rest and recharge.
Along the way, you will also come across several benches and picnic sites where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings. Additionally, there are viewpoints that provide stunning vistas of the area, perfect for capturing memorable photos.
As this is an out-and-back route, you will retrace your steps on the way back, passing by the same points of interest. Before embarking on this challenging hike, make sure to bring an adequate water supply, snacks, and check the weather forecast.
