Located in a picturesque alpine region, the hiking route to Igelkopf offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for adventure seekers. The trail spans a distance of approximately 14.829 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1006 meters, making it classified as extremely difficult in terms of difficulty.

Starting from the designated parking area at the trailhead, hikers will first pass by Gaßneralpe, an alpine hut located about 4.77 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take a break and admire the stunning mountain views. Along the way, there are shelters for hikers to rest and refuel before continuing their journey.

As you make your way towards Igelkopf, you will encounter Tälispitze, a prominent peak standing at 6.77 kilometers from the start. This is a perfect photo opportunity to capture the beauty of the surrounding natural landscape.

Towards the end of the trail, at around 6.98 kilometers from the start, you will reach the summit of Igelkopf, a majestic peak offering panoramic views of the region. Take your time to soak in the breathtaking scenery before starting your descent back to the starting point.
