This hiking route will take you through a challenging and extremely difficult terrain spanning a distance of 13.584 kilometers with an elevation gain of 677 meters. The route is an out-and-back trail leading to the peak of Potro Callicedo.
Starting at the trailhead, you will find parking facilities available right at the beginning of the route. It is essential to ensure you have enough water before embarking on this strenuous journey, although drinking water sources are located 0.02 and 0.06 kilometers from the start for your convenience.
As you hike further along the trail, approximately 2.68 kilometers from the starting point, you will come across Fuente de la Tejera, a natural spring where you can refill your water supply. Continuing onwards, at around 6.79 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the peak of Potro Callicedo, surrounded by breathtaking views of the natural landscape.
