This hiking route will take you to the stunning Pic de Bataillence area. The trail is 8.057 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 757 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes to complete.

As you start your journey, you will pass by a parking area at the trailhead. Make sure to park your vehicle securely before beginning the hike. Shortly after starting, you will come across another parking area, conveniently located right at the beginning of the trail.

As you continue along the trail, you will reach the breathtaking Pic de Bataillence peak, located 4.03 kilometers from the starting point. Take in the panoramic views and enjoy a well-deserved break at this iconic spot.

Further along the trail, approximately 3.58 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Port de Bataillence saddle. While not directly on the trail, this natural feature is worth a visit for its unique geological formations and additional views of the surrounding area.

On your way back, at a distance of 0.87 kilometers from the start, you will have the opportunity to see the beautiful Cascade de Riou Nère waterfall. Take a moment to admire the cascading water before completing your hike.

Due to the length and elevation gain of this hike, it is recommended to bring plenty of water, snacks, and to check the weather forecast before setting out.
