This challenging hiking route will take you to the stunning Cima Mandriolo peak. The trail stretches for 7.935 kilometers with an elevation gain of 351 meters, making it a difficult trek that will require some stamina and preparation.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by the Rifugio Larici da Alessio alpine hut located just 0.02 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to refuel and take in the beautiful surroundings before continuing on your journey. As you hike onwards, you will encounter two water sources at 1.74 and 1.77 kilometers from the start, providing a refreshing break along the way.
At around the midway point of the hike, you will come across the Rifugio Val Formica, another alpine hut where you can take a rest if needed. From there, the trail leads you to the majestic Cima Mandriolo peak, standing tall at 3.97 kilometers from the start. The panoramic views from the peak are definitely worth the effort it took to get there.
Throughout the hike, you will find various points of interest such as the Porta Manazzo saddle at 2.07 kilometers and a wayside cross at 2.1 kilometers from the start. Information points and parking areas are also available along the trail to enhance your hiking experience.
