This hiking route takes you through the scenic area around Hogle Zoo, Emigration Canyon Road, and Salt Lake City. The trail is approximately 3.5 kilometers long with no significant elevation gain, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.

As you start your hike, you'll come across a beautiful natural water source at around 0.44 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. You'll also pass by the historic This is the Place Monument at 0.84 kilometers and various parking areas along the way.

Midway through the hike, around 1.37 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Hogle Zoo, where you can explore a variety of animals and attractions, including the Primate Building, River Otters, Conservation Carousel, and exhibits featuring African Elephants, White Rhinos, Polar Bears, and more.

Near the zoo, you'll also find dining options such as The Beastro, Shoreline Grill, Cat Wok Cafe, and Oasis Cafe to fuel up before continuing your hike. Additionally, you can take a break at the Globe Fountain at 1.17 kilometers from the start.

As you return to the starting point, you'll encounter additional attractions like Grizzly Bear, Snow Leopard, Orangutans, Gorillas, African Lion, Warthog, Giraffe, Zebra, and Ostrich along the trail. The Pony Express Monument stands at 0.44 kilometers, while benches for resting are available at 1.15 kilometers.
